FAQ

Please individually double bag the sample(s) in sealable bags such as a sandwich bag. These should be clearly labelled with the sample location (e.g. kitchen ceiling, garage roof etc.), the address of the site that the samples are from and contact details including a phone number and email address. Samples can be left directly with us by calling Asbestos GRP Labs on the intercom at the building entrance or by placing the samples into our post box located to the left of the main entrance to our building.

We offer different turnaround times to suit our clients needs, these range from same-day to 5-days. The number of samples provided can sometimes dictate available turnaround time.

We analyse the sample under a stereo microscope, so we don’t need a huge amount of sample. A piece approximately the size of a 50 pence piece should suffice.

We issue results on a PDF certificate via email to the email address provided to us. This certificate will display the samples in a list and include their location and material type, as well as the findings of the laboratory alongside them. Positive results for asbestos will be displayed in red.
